Healing ancestral & intergenerational trauma
Ancestral trauma seems to be the vogue at the moment, and for good reason. The 20th and 21st Centuries have produced some of the most dark and traumatic times that humanity has lived through. It seems that we are in constant conflict, either as nations, groups within society, personal relationships or within families, and is what needs to be cured before humanity can evolve to the next level of consciousness.
I am seeing a significant rise in this type of case in clinic and I believe this is because humanity is reaching a crossroads; not the Armageddon-type version which the media, politicians and schools like to pummel, but a shift in consciousness as we become more enlightened. Some trauma is too heavy to resolve in the moment and the best our ancestors could do at that time - and to survive - literally - is to store trauma energetically in the subconscious and/or physical tissues until and if it is safer to process and resolve, and as we are seeing, is skipping one or more generations. Be assured that the body in it's incredible wisdom always knows what it's doing and ranks your survival as a priority, over anything you think is more important.
Ancestral trauma can present in many ways, for example, a history of abusive or adverse childhood experiences, narcissistic behaviour, mental health conditions, self-sabotage patterns, fertility problems, and much more.

My first exposure to ancestral trauma came in my second year at the College of Practical Homeopathy, London, 30 years ago. Students were introduced to in-person, supervised case-taking, which included a 3-part video-recorded case. The recorded case related to a patient in the College's student clinic who, at time of booking, was asked if the consultations could be recorded for teaching purposes. This was because it was an unusual case - that of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, and for which she refused conventional treatment.
What followed was an incredible story of a woman who, through gentle, deep-acting remedies - and the revelatory dreams that followed (the subconscious often releases trauma through the safety of dream state) - healed from this sometimes fatal dis-ease. During the first three sessions, her energy soared, the glands in her neck normalised, she became more creative, and she discovered she had been adopted (she said she'd always felt and looked different to her family, although she knew she was loved equally). As she unravelled her family history with her birth parents, with whom she was reunited, she learned that her ancestors were survivors of the the Holocaust (one her grandparents' prisoner numbers came to her in a series of vivid dreams). It is a story that never ceases to amaze me to this day. She went on to become a Homeopath and, to my knowledge, remains well.
This case demonstrates the healing power of dis-ease. As a Homeopath, we learn to perceive symptoms - however 'grave' the named condition is - as messages from the body's vital force, which we learn to translate into remedies known to help clients with similar symptoms. Rather than suppress and manage symptoms only, skilful remedy selection enables the body to move through the layers of trauma. Sometimes, other therapies are needed around Homeopathy to help clients release process long held trauma, for example EDMR, Counselling, Massage, Reiki or Healing.
Also included in the Phoenix Homeopathy package are remedies to help ease the body off of red alert with gentle adrenal support and relaxation techniques, to restore natural, restorative sleep.
